Watching the seventh wave
gain more power and the sun
rise high at noon, showering off
the sand at dusk and playing
backgammon by the moonlight...
The pleasures of summer are
beckoning, and there is so much
fashion to enthral. The new
bohemian glamour translates to
the beach in billowing kaftans
and ponchos, topped with
headscarves and toed with
gladiator sandals. A blast of new
denim arrives, with hotpants and
the revival of the studded
rock-star denim jacket.
And the daily uniform could
not be simpler: take a classic
Seventies-inspired triangular
bikini and a swimsuit in a subtle
shade lke caramel or mocha,
load wrists with bracelets, necks
with beaten metal and jewels
-and study the horizon line.
